Giving Garden Volunteer Spring Clean Up!

Spring is just around the corner, and it’s time to prepare our Giving Garden for a season of growth, harvest, and giving back to our community! Somerset Hills YMCA invites you to join us for a fulfilling volunteer event at The Giving Garden.

What to Expect:

Garden Clean-up: Volunteers will clear out debris, weeds, and any remaining remnants from the winter season. We’ll tidy up the garden beds, pathways, and surrounding areas to ensure a fresh start for our upcoming planting.

Prepping the Soil: Together, we’ll prepare the soil for planting by loosening it, adding compost, and ensuring optimal conditions for planting.

Planting Preparation: Volunteers will assist in setting up planting beds, organizing gardening tools, etc.

Who Can Participate:
This event is open to all members of the community, regardless of gardening experience. Whether you’re a seasoned green thumb or a curious beginner, there’s a meaningful role for you in our garden clean-up efforts. Families, individuals, and groups are all welcome to join us in making a positive impact!

What to Bring:

– Gardening gloves
– Shovels, Garden Hoes, Rakes, etc.
– Sunscreen and hats for sun protection
– Water bottles to stay hydrated
– Enthusiasm and a willingness to get your hands dirty!
