Celebrating a Renewed Hillsborough YMCA Experience
Since opening in 1996, the Hillsborough YMCA has grown along with our community, offering essential services and programs that bring people together. With a more than 30% population increase in Hillsborough Township and rising school enrollments, our YMCA is dedicated to meeting the evolving needs of our neighbors. Thanks to the generosity of our community and the support of a successful capital campaign, significant improvements to our Y are complete now and ready for you to enjoy each time you visit.

Completed Projects: Creating a More Accessible, Comfortable Y for Everyone
This first phase of renovations has transformed key areas of Hillsborough YMCA, making it more comfortable, inclusive, and community-centered. Here’s what you can experience today:
- Expanded Wellness Center: Our wellness space has been brightened and expanded with new, safe rubber flooring and equipment throughout, supporting strength, agility, and wellness activities for members of all fitness levels.
- Upgraded Locker Rooms & New Universal/Family Locker Room: Redesigned for privacy and accessibility, our updated locker rooms now provide inclusive, family-friendly spaces for all members.
- New Program Classrooms: Three state-of-the-art classrooms are now in use, offering dedicated spaces for year-round programs in STEAM, fitness, and more, providing children and teens with room to learn and grow in mind and body.
- Revitalized Lobby Area: Our reconfigured Welcome Center and updated lobby now create a warm, welcoming entrance for every visitor. Bright, modern finishes make the space lively yet peaceful for conversations and connections.
Our Final Phase: HVAC System Enhancements
To complete this transformation, we’re focusing on a critical HVAC system upgrade that will enhance air quality and temperature control, ensuring a comfortable space year-round and consistent quality throughout the entire updated facility.
