Outdoor Fitness Walks
Join your friends at the Y for a moderately paced Outdoor Fitness Walk. Weather permitting, participants will be challenged by a steady pace on flat-to-moderately hilly terrain. Expect to get your heart rate up! It’s a great opportunity to build strength and stamina while enjoying comradery on the trail. Experience an introduction to hiking – it’s a great opportunity to enjoy nature while building your skills on the trail!ADVANCE REGISTRATION REQUIRED. Open to members & non-members. Ages 12+. Trail location varies. Participants meet at the trail entrance. Instructor communicates location and directions each week (as well as any potential weather rescheduling) to the email address on file with the Y. New to Outdoor Recreational Walks? Please sign up no later than 7 p.m. the night before to receive directions to the trail.
Fitness Hikes
Discover more endurance in the outdoors with our Y’s Fitness Hikes! Weather permitting, participants are challenged by a steady-to-fast pace covering 6-8 miles of hilly terrain. These Hikes are ideal for individuals who exercise vigorously 3-4 times per week and are looking to build endurance on the trail. Hikes are currently on Fridays at 9:15 a.m. ADVANCE REGISTRATION REQUIRED. Open to members & non-members. Ages 12+. Trail location varies. Participants meet at the trail entrance. Instructor communicates location and directions each week (as well as any potential weather rescheduling) to the email address on file with the Y. New to Fitness Hikes?
