Plainfield YMCA Hosts Comedy for a Cause to Support Community Programs and Services
Plainfield, New Jersey, March 4, 2024 – On February 22, Plainfield YMCA, a branch of Greater Somerset County YMCA, hosted a night of laughter and community camaraderie at the Plainfield Performing Arts Center to support vital community programs and services.
Nearly 100 attendees, including dedicated staff, board members, and local residents, attended the volunteer-led event. With David Miller as the night’s emcee and featuring the comedic talents of Rich Vos and Monique Latise, attendees enjoyed an evening of food, fun, and laughs.
Kieran Anderson, Plainfield YMCA Branch Board Chair, expressed his enthusiasm, “This event was a fantastic opportunity to unite the community while raising crucial funds to support our mission of serving residents and families in Plainfield.”
A memorable highlight of the evening was the paddle raise, where attendees had the chance to directly support programs and services. Overall, the event raised nearly $12,000 underscoring the community’s unwavering commitment to the YMCA’s cause.
