Democratic Whip Katherine Clark and Rep. Bonnie Watson Coleman Visit Princeton YMCA to Discuss Importance of Federal Funding for Childcare

On Monday, February 26, Greater Somerset County YMCA welcomed Democratic Whip Congresswoman Katherine Clark (MA-5), Rep. Bonnie Watson Coleman (NJ-12), Commissioner of NJ Department of Human Services, Sarah Adelman, and Assistant Commissioner of NJ Division of Family Development, Natasha Johnson along with Mercer County leadership and Princeton Mayor at our Princeton YMCA location.

During the roundtable discussion Greater Somerset County YMCA President and Chief Executive Officer, David M. Carcieri, Sr. VP and Chief Operations Officer Darnell Hayes, and Keshon Bennet, Princeton Branch Executive Director spoke about the importance of affordable, quality child care to families and the economy, as well as the many other vital Y programs that strengthen our communities. Bennet, facilitated a group tour and YMCA family Nyuma and Mohamed shared the impact of YMCA programs on their lives and children.
