Volunteer Opportunities

The volunteer opportunities listed below offer a broad overview of volunteer projects, but more specific opportunities are available on our Volunteer Portal to access the catalog. On our new volunteer platform, you will be able to manage your entire YMCA volunteer experience.

How to Sign up

Take a look at our catalog of opportunities. Once you find and select an opportunity that fits, you will be prompted to create an account. If you've already registered on our new volunteer platform, you can also look at the catalog to see what's new! We regularly update the opportunities as needs arise.

When searching for opportunities in the catalog, please make sure to select the branch you are interested in and put dates in the required "Opportunities On or After" and "Opportunities Before" fields. You will need to enter a date that is after today's date to see the opportunities.

Teen Volunteers

We believe that teens are a tremendous asset to our community. When they contribute their energy, passion and skills through volunteer efforts, they not only help to make a positive impact on the lives of so many, but they also gain the personal satisfaction of making a difference.

Maintenance Volunteers

Provide support to the Facilities Department with maintenance inside or outside the Y.

Administrative and Program Volunteers

Provide support to many programs and services, such as assisting with active older adult programs, supervising children in our child care programs, coaching sports or helping out in our administrative offices.

Philanthropy Volunteers

Help raise awareness of the Y’s charitable status and mission to ensure that YMCA programs are available to everyone regardless of their economic circumstance, as well as raise funds to support our annual campaign.

Policy Volunteers

Provide leadership to the YMCA through time, talent and treasure. These volunteers serve as members of our Board of Directors, Branch Boards, Advisory Boards or on committees.

Special Event Volunteers

Help with planning, promoting and implementing events that strengthen individuals, families and communities.
