FOR STRONG SWIMMERS, JUST ADD WATER

Learning to swim and understanding water safety is a vital life skill, and the water doesn’t know your age. From infants to seniors, the Y has been teaching individuals of all ages how to feel confident in the water since 1909. Swim lessons provide the opportunity for kids, teens and adults to set goals, learn how to stay safe, develop self-esteem and enjoy exercise all at the same time.

For any questions about any of our swim programs, please contact our Aquatics Director

Did you know?

Our pool here at Bridgewater YMCA is heated to 82 degrees - an optimal temperature for competitive and lap swimmers! It helps to regulate body temperature and prevent overheating.

Swim Lessons

Our swim lessons at Bridgewater YMCA for children, teens and adults use a progression curriculum that will put swimmers on a clear track toward their goals, and are specifically tailored to the participant’s age, swimming ability, level of physical development and confidence in the water. Participants will advance in the program as they become more skilled in the water. Our Aquatics Director is happy to answer any questions about level placement or to schedule a complimentary swim evaluation. Our lessons are typically 30-45 minutes each and are offered one to four times a week, depending on the session.
