Greater Somerset County YMCA is excited to offer individualized Personal Training at Hillsborough YMCA, Somerset Hills YMCA, and Somerville YMCA. Whether you're looking for post-injury rehabilitation, getting ready for a 5K, or even if you just need the motivation to get your exercise routine on track – our nationally certified personal trainers are ready to create an individualized program that will meet your specific needs and goals.

Members who have purchased Personal Training packages or are enrolled in FitCommit can now schedule their training sessions online! It’s easy! Grab your key fob and virtually check in to the Y to schedule your Personal Training appointment!

WHAT TO EXPECT AT YOUR PERSONAL TRAINING APPOINTMENT

We all have an important role to play in the health and safety of our Y community. We’ve implemented some new policies and procedures in the interest of looking out for everyone’s safety. Be ready to go and make the most of your Personal Training session at the Y when you know What to Expect:

  • Come prepared with your own towel, water, and mat, if necessary
  • Arrive at the Y and put on your face mask/covering as you exit your vehicle  
  • Head to the main entrance for member check-in to have your temperature taken, hand sanitize, and answer a few simple questions 
  • Proceed to your designated personal training space with your trainer
  • If training indoors, your mask must remain on. If training outdoors and socially distant, you may remove your mask only while you exercise and maintain six feet distance.
  • When finished, you and your trainer will be responsible for returning and cleaning equipment
  • Follow the directional signage to exit—being mindful to maintain distance from other members—and depart to your vehicle 
  • Thanks for coming to the Y and we’ll see you soon!
