YMCA’s Weight Loss Program is designed to help people seeking a healthier weight achieve their goals by making small, modest changes to their daily behaviors and forming sustainable, healthy habits. What works for one person may not work for another, so our goal is to give you the tools and resources to succeed based on your individual needs.

Rather than advocate for specific or restrictive short-term solutions, this program helps participants build skills for successful lifestyle changes.

The program includes:

  • One-hour group meeting per week for the 12 weeks
  • Establishing SMART goals and adjusting them as needed throughout the program
  • Weekly weigh-ins to track progress
  • Informational handouts each meeting to complement the topics being discussed that week
  • Support and encouragement in a group, non-intimidating setting
