Putting Your Savings Work
Women’s Financial Series
Many of us have savings accounts, but often, we don’t fully understand the potential of our savings. We may be unknowingly leaving money on the table by not maximizing our returns. In this workshop, you’ll learn how to unlock the power of your savings and make your money work harder for you. You’ll discover the importance of APY (Annual Percentage Yield) and how to shop around for the best rates. We’ll explore different types of savings accounts, including high-yield savings accounts, money market accounts, and certificates of deposit (CDs), and help you choose the right account for your financial goals. You’ll also learn essential saving strategies, such as setting financial goals, automating savings, and avoiding unnecessary expenses. We’ll discuss the pros and cons of traditional and online banks and provide tips for choosing a reliable financial institution. By the end of this workshop, you’ll have the knowledge and tools to make informed decisions about your savings, maximize your returns, and achieve your financial goals.
