FREEDOM DAY

Juneteenth honors the day that news of emancipation reached the last group of enslaved people in America: June 19, 1865. On this day, we celebrate freedom, resilience, and the commitment to create lasting change together.

Juneteenth Celebration Family Fun Night

Honor the Past, Celebrate the Present, Inspire the Future

Join us for a meaningful evening of family fun, reflection, and community as we celebrate Juneteenth and the importance of freedom. Families will enjoy interactive activities, educational experiences, crafts, a movie, and family swim.

ACTIVITIES INCLUDE:
• Freedom Wall – Share your thoughts on “What does freedom look like to you?”
• Celebration of Abolitionists – Learn about influential figures such as Harriet Tubman, Frederick Douglass, and more.
• Juneteenth Flag Coloring Sheets
• Bracelet Making
• Unity Chain Craft
• Movie Feature: The Journey of Henry Box Brown
• Family Swim & Water Slides
