Child Care Programs for All Ages at Hillsborough YMCA
School Age Child Care
Hillsborough YMCA partners with local schools to provide children with a safe, supportive place to learn and connect before and after the school day. We offer before school care beginning at 7:00 a.m. and after school care until 6:00 p.m., with school bus transportation to and from the YMCA for added convenience.
Before and after school care is available for students from Hillsborough Middle School, Triangle Elementary, Woodfern Elementary, and Auten Road Intermediate School. Hillsborough Elementary School and Sunnymead Elementary School participate in our after school care program.
Daycare & Early Education
Infants and young children ages 6 weeks to 5 years will thrive in a structured, educational environment at our Early Education Center. Our daycare staff focuses on The Creative Curriculum, consisting of six subjects: arts, literacy, math, science, social studies, and technology. Children can engage with the subjects that interest them to develop their individuality and creativity.
Kindergarten Programs
At Hillsborough YMCA, we prepare kids for elementary school with full-day Kindergarten programs. Our teachers guide students through required academic skills and provide the nurturing needed to build confidence and self-esteem in each child. We are committed to building healthy, confident children who reflect our core values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility. Social skills are encouraged through group projects and physical fitness.
Kids Corner Babysitting
Members at Hillsborough YMCA can drop off children ages 6 months to 11 years at our Kids Corner for on-site babysitting while they work out. Babysitting services are available most weekday evenings and Saturday mornings. Please contact the branch to confirm times and availability. This service is complimentary for all Family Membership levels. For all other members, the cost is just $5.
