Somerset Hills YMCA Spreads Warmth with Winter Coat Drive Success
BASKING RIDGE, NJ – As winter approaches, Somerset Hills YMCA, a branch of Greater Somerset County YMCA, has delivered a wave of warmth and generosity through its recent Winter Coat Drive. Collecting nearly 300 coats last month, the initiative brought comfort and relief to families in need.
The coats will be distributed through three channels: during Plainfield YMCA’s bi-weekly food drive, to financial assistance families across Greater Somerset County YMCA locations, and to participants at the Norwescap Career & Life Transitions Center in North Plainfield.
“We are deeply grateful for the incredible outpouring of support that has made a real difference during these colder months,” said Leonardo Gonzalez, Senior Program Director at Plainfield YMCA. “The thoughtful donations from Somerset Hills YMCA have been a lifeline for many residents in Plainfield.”
