GSCY Storm Team has Four Athletes and Three Alumni in the US Olympic Trials!

GSCY Storm is proud to have four athletes and three alumni representing at this event! Anna Moesch, Emily Thompson, Kenny Barnicle, and Garrett Gould have all qualified to compete at Trials alongside GSCY alumni Jack Alexy, Matt Fallon, and Jessie Novak. They will join over 700 men and women who will compete to represent Team USA at the upcoming Paris Olympics.

Meet The Athletes and Alumni:

Kenny Barnicle
  • Age 17
  • Olympic Trials Event: 100 back
  • Kenny was named the #20 recruit in the 2025 class and committed to Cal Berkeley
Anna Moesch
  • Age 18
  • Olympic Trials Events: 200 Free, 100 Free, 50 Free
  • This is Anna’s second appearance at the US Olympic Trials
  • Anna was named #3 recruit in the 2024 class and committed to the University of Virginia
  • Anna is a member of the US Junior National Team and has represented Team USA at the 2021 World Cup, 2022 Junior Pan Pacific Championships, and the 2023 Junior World Championships
Garrett Gould
  • Age 18
  • Olympic Trials Event: 50 Free
  • Garrett was named Best of the Rest in the 2024 class and committed to the University of Texas-Austin
Emily Thompson
  • Age 18
  • Olympic Trials Events: 100 Fly, 100 Back, 200 Back, 200 IM (also qualified for 400 IM)
  • Emily was named #10 recruit in the 2024 class and committed to Stanford University
  • Emily represented Team USA at the 2022 Junior Pan Pacific Championships

 

 


Alumni:

Jack Alexy
  • Olympic Trials Events: 100 Free, 50 Free
  • This is Jack’s second appearance at the US Olympic Trials
  • Jack is entering his Senior year at Cal Berkeley
  • He is a member of the USA National Team and won five medals in his first senior international meet at the 2023 World Championships
  • Jack has also achieved success at the NCAA level, most recently placing 2nd in the 200 Free and 3rd in the 100 Free and 50 Free at the 2024 NCAA Championships
Matt Fallon
  • Olympic Trials Events: 100 Breast, 200 Breast
  • This is Matt’s second appearance at the US Olympic Trials
  • Matt is entering his Senior year at the University of Pennsylvania
  • He is a member of the USA National Team and won bronze in the 200 Breaststroke in his first senior international meet at the 2023 World Championships
  • Matt also has many accolades at the NCAA level, most recently placing 2nd in the 200 Breaststroke at the 2024 NCAA Championships
Jessie Novak
  • Olympic Trials Events: 100 Free
  • This is Jessie’s second appearance at the US Olympic Trials
  • Jessie is a professional swimmer training with Nova Aquatics

Where to Watch the 2024 Olympic Trials:

Preliminary sessions are from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm each day, with races to determine which athletes go to semi-finals and finals. The semi-finals and finals sessions take place from 8:00 pm to 10:00 pm. All finals sessions will air live on NBC in primetime starting on Saturday, June 15, with coverage also streaming on Peacock, NBCOlympics.com, NBC.com, and the NBC/NBC Sports apps. USA Network will air coverage of prelims sessions, which can also be streamed live on Peacock and NBC’s digital platforms.
